You can trust us
A safari is often a trip of a lifetime, and is not entered into lightly, especially if you are taking your whole family. There are so many questions; where should you go, when should you go, what should you expect, how much will it cost, and you need a safari company that you can totally trust to build your perfect trip with you. How do we stand out from the herd?
Well, many safari consultants do have experience of the camps that they are suggesting from visiting the destinations – but we have grown up in these destinations, we have worked in camps, we have been safari guides and camp managers and we have tried and tested camps and lodges with our family. Moreover, we are on the ground. Rachel and her team live in Arusha, Tanzania and are on the ground for any eventuality – and a friendly face on arrival.
We are continually investing time in increasing our portfolio, visiting camps, building relationships with owners and the camp teams and ensuring that every camp in on board with Babu’s Truck’s ethos. We hope that we will therefore gain your trust, through many conversations, questions and shared stories. We want to get to know you and your family, your interests, past travel experiences, individual personalities and expectations, so that when we present you with your unique safari itineraries we get it right first time.
The Process
1) If you like what you see then Contact Us either through this website or simply by picking up the phone. We will then begin the process of getting to know you. We will ask you to fill in a questionnaire, but mostly we will talk. We can’t tailor make a trip of a lifetime for you without a strong understanding of what makes your family tick.
2) Once we have all the information we need (including of course when you want to travel, numbers, ages of travellers and budgets) we will look to put together itinerary options for you. We will aim to start with a couple of options at different ends of your budget which we will then discuss with you to design an itinerary from this which will become a perfect fit. We will always work within your budget and be transparent and honest with all pricing, using our raft of experience to give you the best value for money.
3) Once your itinerary has been finalised our operations team take over to make it happen. They are on the ground in Tanzania and will organise all the “bits in between” and the finer details. Transfers, safari vehicles, guides, marmite that you can’t live without, they are there and they will make it happen.
4) We will take initial deposits to confirm all bookings with final payments coming nearer to the start of the trip. Your costs will be broken down and itemised so that you have a full understanding of all you are paying for
5) It is important to know that you will have one point of contact throughout the whole process, this will initially be Naomi and her team in the UK. Our lines of communication with Tanzania are seamless and by the time you arrive in Tanzania the Babu’s Truck team will know all about you and be as excited about your trip as you are.
